The Public Service Commission (Lok Sewa Aayog) holds the Section Officer (शाखा अधिकृत) competition in three distinct stages:
Must be passed to proceed to Stage II. Marks are NOT calculated in final ranking.
Core subject-specific subjective examinations. Performance in these papers directly determines final ranking and selection.
Additional specialized papers for candidates contesting for Nepal Foreign Service positions.
Final practical and oral screening before recommendations.
Paper I · Stage I
प्रथम पत्र: प्रशासनिक अभिरुचि परीक्षण
Stage I (Preliminary Screening Test). Marks do not count towards the final merit list. 45% pass marks required to qualify for Stage II. 20% negative marking for wrong answers.
